Left knee with a 5 degree varus deformity with medial femoral condylar degeneration, varus inclination of the medial tibial plateau, femoral osteophytes, lateral flexion/extension gaps of 2mm/2mm, and medial flexion/extension gaps of 2mm/5mm.
Base model includes femur, tibia, fibula, ACL, PCL, sMCL, dMCL, and LCL.
This model can interface with Surgistud’s Knee Model Base to provide a platform for knee arthroplasty surgical training. The medial ligamentous and capsular structures allow for sequential correction of the varus deformity. The 3d printed bony anatomy has cortical, cancellous, and intramedullary canal regions of bone for high biomechanical and tactile fidelity.
This model can walk trainees through the entire total unicompartmental or partial knee replacement procedure: exposure, bony resection, soft tissue balancing, instrumentation, and closing.
